Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 ensures access to water and sanitation for all. While substantial progress has been made in increasing access to clean drinking water and sanitation. Worldwide, one in three people do not have access to safe drinking water, two out of five people do not have a basic hand-washing facility with soap and water, and more than 673 million people still practice open defecation.
Our water team experts have a deep understanding of the technical risks associated with water infrastructure projects in Africa. We consist of highly skilled engineers with backgrounds in infrastructure master planning, water resources, irrigation and dam management, bulk water supply, non-revenue water management, water and wastewater treatment, water reclamation and reuse, water chemistry, climate change, biodiversity and adaptation.
We assist government utilities and private institutions in Africa to improve service delivery and revenue generation. We develop detailed feasibility studies to inform short, medium- and long-term investment planning, to guide our clients towards project bankability, grant or funding applications, and project implementation, while simultaneously developing the skills needed to operate and maintain the infrastructure.
